About Dr. Peaden
Dr Taylen Peaden was born and raised in the Florida panhandle. He grew up spending countless hours listening to and learning from his father who was also a small town Florida Family Physician and he moved to Lake City in 2003.
Dr Peaden graduated with Honors from the University of Florida College of Health and Human Performance with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Education. During his undergraduate education he was active on campus as a student peer educator on matters of sexual assault, abuse recovery and education. He served as treasurer for the UF Honorary Health Science Education chapter of Eta Sigma Gamma. Dr Peaden continued at the University of Florida earning his Masters degree from the College of Medicine Physician Assistant Graduate Program in 2005. He worked for several years as a certified physician assistant (PA-C) in Family Medicine until he decided to complete his formal education by continuing on to Medical School at LECOM. Upon graduation from medical school, he was honored to be awarded the Orville and Arlene Kelly Award for Excellence in Family Medicine. After medical school, Dr Peaden continued his training at St Elizabeth Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in upstate New York . " I was fortunate enough to be in a rigorous program which provided first-hand experience in many specialties throughout the hospital system. This enables me to provide more comprehensive care for my patients." Upon graduation from residency training Dr Peaden was awarded the Roger D. Moore, MD Integrity Award, bestowed upon the graduating resident who demonstrated extraordinary integrity during their three-years of residency training.
Dr Peaden provided primary care in rural upstate New York for several years before returning home to Florida to be closer to family.

- Dr. Peaden received his Medical Degree from LECOM in Pennsylvania and completed his residency in Family Medicine at St. Elizabeth Hospital in upstate New York. He is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician and has been practicing for 11 years.
